| ANON | Re: Where to buy? Private sales are the best place to find vintage Marshalls in good condition. Check out classifieds in VG magazine, Harmony Central, VG's web site and eBay. There's a full page ad on this months VG from an indiviual selling his large collection of amplifiers and it included many Marshalls at fair prices. I find most stores to be too expensive. You can still find 67-69 50-100 watt Plexi heads in great condition starting around $1500 but these are far and few. I recently found a 67/68 JTM50 for $1600, a 68 Super Bass for $1500, and a 69 Plexi JMP50 lead for $1600 all in good original condition so they are out there. Late 69 to early 73 P2P metal panels in good original condition are going for around $700 - 1200 With most falling in the $850 to $1000 range. The key is to be constantly on the lookout. |
