If we take the GE as average for this comparison, then the RCA were a little lower gain, but warmer and quite nice, and the Sylvania were much higher gain, and a little bright. I think I've heard these general opinions from other sources around the web too(Mook's taste test, etc.). My suggestion, try 'em all in lots of different positions in all your amps. Gives you an excuse to play for a few hours. -Chris
