Dietmar	Re: 5150 Circuit Opinions This is a very interesting thread and I MUST agree with the others; just half a year ago, I choosed to buy a new amp and as a real Marshallplayer, I choosed Marshall, Peavey (5150) and Engl (Blackmore) for a comparsion. Problem with the 5150 is, that I turned Treble and anything (serious) happened to the sound, I turned bass and anything..., I turned... those were my experiences; it doesn't matter what you are doing, you will always sound the same - additonally you have got the noise in the background (sounds like the ocean) and I agree to Trace, that some tubes less in the preamp stage could do the same job concerning gain.
