| Ron Orlando | Re: Fender RI Reverb -Hum & a Tremelo question I did some tweeks with my tweed RI reverb unit. I replaced the caps with orange drops. I also shellaced the tweed. When it was all back together I had a 60HZ hum. I noticed on the original schematic that the ground on output jack is floating from the chassis. Seems that when I reassembled the unit I had accidently switched the fiber insulating washer to the input. Check out the output jack look and see if the fiber washer is under the nut. Also another source for a repalcement board is Ted Weber. I used one of his boards on a bassman RI very nice..and cheap! Question..has anyone thought about adding a tremelo circuit to a RI Reverb. There is room for a small add on chassis in the bottom of the enclosure??? |
