I took the advice of the gurus to heart and ran a wire completely around the chassis in order to keep it "down in the corner", as recommended. This was causing 80% of the hum. The wire now flies proudly across the chassis, breaking the "rules" but not humming. It still isn't completely gone, but is much better. Try moving things around, use the advice of others here and elsewhere, but don't be afraid to try unconventional ideas, if they work
