I think its a great idea to have individual cathode resistors summing into one. Like with a quad of el 84's, each gets a 100 ohm half watt and they sum into a 10 or 20 5 or ten watt.. at least it works great in my old Eko Super Duke head. The Jennings AC 40 did this...
