I have a cheap hand held analog ($10 model) and I'm trying to decide if it works properly for resistance at all. I have a variety of parts I bought from a surplus house, and none seem to be giving anything close to a proper reading, even when I remember to factor in the X10K on the ohm-meter setting. It seems to read AC and DC volts alright. Could this be a question of having no load, as Steve mentioned? Or is it time for a real meter? maximum respect dl
