Since you're already willing to dive into the favored amp I'd "explore" the headphone output you've already got. Usually the headphone out is the same as the speaker out with a dropping resistor in series to prevent headphone (and your ears) damage. If you were to modify the resistor or ad a potentiometer you should have enough signal to drive your "slave" amp.
