| DCH | Nichicon VX Series filter caps??? I'm still sourcing final parts for my Matchless Lightning build project. It specifies 3 x 33uf/450v and 2 x 22uf/450v filter caps. I've always worked with Sprague Atoms and have come to trust them, but can't get them in those values. On the Angela Electronics page, Steve has some Nichicon VX Series aluminum electrolytics in just those values (and others), and for about half the price. Any experience with these? Any reason I shouldn't use them? Money isn't really an issue for this project (I want top components where possible), but I want values as close to the originals as possible. Oh, question 2) >>>>> If I go ahead and use some 20uf/450 and 40uf/450 Spragues that I've got on order, will these be bad replacement values for the 22uf and 33uf for any reason? Thanks in advance for the exceedingly knowledgeable assistance which I know will follow, as always...! Dave |
