| danlawrence | Re: Resistor Check Is there a way you can explain to the youth brigade how we determine if a component needs to be removed from the board, or detatched from ground, to be checked for it's proper value. If leads are connected across two sides of a resistor, how does the resistance become *LESS* than the rated value by faulty parts on the ground or load side of the measured part? Does the meter ever measure some undesired path, and thus throw other components into the mix. Would love to clarify this detail. dl |
