EL34's in general are more 'sterile' sounding while clean, and ooh so sweet when they get dirty. 6l6s are a bit more musical when clean. Like I said, I'm ont trying to keep the amp, but I think a 6ca7 would sound a bit more round and musical than something than a el34wxt etc.
