rebel420 | Re: Tubes for MusicMan The schematics state 500mv across the cathode resistor, which is a 10ohm resistor, and figuring @700v on the plates, I worked that out to be 25mA. I knwo the Svet's may sound better cranked, but i'm goign for that fender tone (just to help my dad get rid of the amp, AFTER I get my Mullards), I am leaning to the Ruby str-el34B (not the softer A models), which Lord Valve has claimed to be the best Sylvania big-bottle 6cA7 clone out yet, and recommended for Music Man's... if I was keeping the amp myself, or I even knew he would keep it, it may be a differnt story, I jsut want to help him get rid of it, and get my mullards!! |
