It is definately an aluminum panel one. It would seem from replies that it is probably a 1969.  
 
Trace, what do you think about the transformer question i asked? The power transformer seems to have a mechanical hum of some kind. About the only way to get rid of the hum is to replace the transformer. I hate to do that though. have you ever run across that?
