| Mark Knapp | Re: I learned this trick from Trace..So I have to agree! Works in my Marshall Thank you. Do you also put the 1M resistors near the tube socket? Do you find that sheilding the input wire help reduce the hiss noise? I always assumed that was mostly to keep hum out. I personally like the lower noise of using metal film resistors. I have never sat down and done an A/B test, but I have two almost identical YBA-1's. One is stock (Carbon comp) and one has been completely redone with mostly metal films and 715P caps. The redone one is much quieter, and probably just a bit "zingier," but they both sound very much alike. Mark Knapp |
