What's the advantage of allowing a connection to the shield between sections (pin 9)? It looks like a pair of these in parallel pus-pull could put out about eight to ten watts. I think you were on to my idea. It would be cute (convenient?) to have the amp use only one kind of tube. Buy em by the caseload and you're all set. Just don't get em confused with everyone's fav preamp tube. -SteveR
