| John S. | Re: No grid stoppers in 5F6A I put the JCM 800 5.6k values across my 73 50 watt Marshall's tubes,and though it didn't seem to change the tone,it might have made my output tubes a bit more stable at cranked volumes,and it also seemed to remove some distortion "hash" or "harshness" when the amp is cranked all the way up?My 50 watt JCM 800 had these across it's output tubes too,hence the idea for my 73 head!You can start much lower though,say 1k and work your way up,but the Marshall 5.6k works fine in my amp.
