Need help with Capacitor combinations

Casey4s | Need help with Capacitor combinations I am starting a new diy amp, an Ampeg SB12 clone. I need 3x40uf @500v and one 30uf @600v, and one 100uf @100v. I have two 40+40/100uf @ 500/200.That takes care of everything except the 30 @ 600. Can I put a regular 40@450v electrolytic in series with the leftover 40@500 in one of the cans and replace the 600v cap with that? I am not worried about increasing from 30uf to 40uf but will the voltage work out OK? Thanks for any help guys... Casey4s |
