Re: Yamaha/Soldano Opinion+Questions
Hi Ethan,
I have a Yamaha T100.

If you read the T100/T50 schems and SLO schems on the net (the T100 schem is right, I hope SLO too), in the lead channel the most important difference is one 1 uF cap: in T100 this is missing. If you connect this cap cathode to ground in V3a you have a lot of gain.

The clean channel is a little different from SLO, but you can simply substitute component values. For more loudness on clean, you can try to substitute the 5.6M resistor with 2.2M and 120pF cap in parallel (the best is clone all the values).

The problem in reverb is due to very different drive reverb levels in clean and lead channels. In lead channel you have large drive at the springs (the gain is high for distort) and low master level; when you change at clean (high master level): boom!
This is because the reverb return is passing thru channel EQ and master. You can try to bypass the tone and send directly the reverb return to driver tube. This is a little more difficult mod, I can suggest the components, if you want.

Frankly I haven't the time to try the mods, but I think is simply, if you have the skills to work in tube amps (400-500 Volt inside the circuit is normal).
Sorry for my not good english,
m.
