I'm over here in the UK with 240V AC, but I'm from the States originally and already run amps off some quality Auto Transformers (240V >>> 117V). I haven't measured these, but presume they might be a steadier 117V supply than many household voltages in the US. Could be wrong. (BTW, still looking to the US for trannies because 1) I hear so many good things about Hammond, and 2) foresee playing this amp in the US quite a bit.) And yeah, Mike, like the idea of having those two slightly different channels together, maybe switch with an A/B box or something. I played a Lightning for some time and would like a design that goes a little bit either way of it's tonal range - one channel grittier and hotter, another with tamer tonal shaping, juicy but straightforward. Thanks again -- and for explaining things so well. I'm no tech, but am always excited by what I can accomplish by paying attention, buying some quality components, and joining up all the right dots!
