I don't think so. 2.An output xfmr will usefully break ground loops between chassis. but it needs to be driven by a low source impedance, like a cathode follower to not be interacting with the cables and next stage, regardless of single or balanced. Check antique audio, too. 3 Jensen has highest quality, Sescom less expensive output xfmrs for line level. To run balanced you need to construct a balanced driver, which is what an inverter does in a push pull stage. 4. For this use, the output xfmr wants to match the output impedance of the preamp, which is determined by the last stage. |
