| Andy | MESA/BOOGIE .50 Caliber FX-loop problems Mesa/Boogie .50 Caliber EL-84 non lead master model. Hi guys, for who wants to know i'm still waiting for the desired parts to smooth out the lead mode. Meanwhile i've started to look into the FX-loop of this thing. It sends out extremly strong and overloads the effects-unit very quickly. The input of my Lexicon MPX-100 and/or my Rocktron Replifex must be set very low (not higher than 2)leaving very little volume to the return input of the amp. I have tried the effect-units with several other amps (Boogies also!) this works fine with those. Can anyone tell me what would be an acceptable value (m.volts or something) and/or how to check this. I have already checked the resistor values in this area and they seem to be oke. I've noticed in the schematic that the send and return is reversed. A mistake from the draftsman, this is also wrong in the .22 Studio schematic! Andy |
