Noise problem with DIY stand alone Fender Reverb
Iīve just built an exact replica of a Fender Reverb unit, except the heaters which are DC. All the voltages in are correct. With the guitar dry signal (mix pot in 0 position) thereīs no noise, but when I increase it (more signal into the reverb) noise and hum appear. As the cables from the chasis to the reverb were not shielded, I installed two good quality Hi-fi interconnect cables with the ground attached to the chasis only. Then and incredible feedback noise began, so I reversed the OT transformer, but it didnīt stop.
Does anybody know whatīs happening here?
Thank you.
