Not really. I dinked around with several mods to a 70 watt pro and it still didn't quite make the tone. If you ned the power, keep it & have it serviced it will sound better, not BF but better. changing it to BF would be difficult w/o changing out the trannies....  
It's still better than a reissue,tho.
