| Stephen Conner | just play quieter Hi Lion, I built a very similar amp to yours and noticed the exact same problem. The humps at the zero crossing are caused by grid blocking, and adding a cathode follower would cure this. I never did this though, I was worried about overheating the power tube grids. I just play a bit quieter. I couldn't get mine to sound right without feedback, and in the end I added some.
