| Bruce | Re: Cathode follower drive to output tubes Before I venture a comment, I'd like to know if your DIY amp has it's final PA tubes cathode biased or are you using fixed bias? Before you get all hung up on grid blocking and all this other stuff, be aware that overdriven or even heavily driven PP Class AB1 cathode biased power tubes, can generate some ugly crossover distortion looking patterns on a scope. That cathode bias resistor can do some odd stuff. Bruce |
