| Dean | JCM800 mod suggestions? Hi, I came across a JCM800 (4104, 50w 2x12) for a fair deal, but the thing sounds thin and buzzy. I'd like to try and make it work for me, but it's not like the old 4 holer... What can be done? I'm interested in a DIY starter project to get the tone more flexible and also to get rid of the fuzzy-buzzyness. I find the tonal adjustments quite thin or boomy, and I'd rather not comment on the gain adjustment. The amp is very quiet noise wise, and in great shape. Also, is the 4104 the same board as the 2204? (ie. ST1 iss. 202) Thanks! Dean |
