Re: Multiple output jacks and neg feedback
Bruce,

quote:
"I've only worked on/retubed three Dr. Z amps and all three had the seperate output jacks."

They were just mono jacks without the switch to ground when no plug was inserted, right?

quote:
"They all did use negative feedback and I think the feedback loop was fed from the 4 ohm tap on all three."

So, if I have a multi-tap output transformer, run each of the taps to an isolated jack and run the common to all, the feedback circuit would still work even if it's only attached to one of the jacks? Even if that jack is not being used at the time? You know, run the feedback off the 4 ohm jack when I'm using the 8 ohm jack. This should work because even though I'm not plugged into the 4 ohm at the time, there's still a competed feedback circuit, right?

I also plan to run the common back to the grounding point where the feedback enters the circuit. So, in essence I will have two wires going to the circuit where the feedback is injected.

Thanks,

Don
