I was very confused by the two-point star thing, but after RG and Randall’s very detailed descriptions it finale became clear to me how to do it right. (I’m still not sure about the "why" part - I mean, I’ll not go as far as to say that I understand how and why these things work like they do – but I’ve never been this close.) Anyway, the best part is that, after spending half an hour last night rewiring my grounding, the amp is now dead silent. With the volume turned down I had to put my ear close to the speaker to verify that the amp was turned ON – and working! The only problem I have left now is a little hum that is developed when I plug a delay unit into the amps FX loop (one more thing I can’t figure out!) - but I think that’s another story. So once again, thank you RG and Randall for sharing your expertise and taking the time to do it in a way that I can understand. Regards, Lion
