| Bruce | Re: mojo tweed series xformer Yup, pure premature rant Ricky. These are very good sounding transformers and you could have done much much worse. The only wires that you can see are the lead in wires. Don't worry about that at all. There might be a very little tonal differences between paper bobbin stick wound trannies and plastic bobbin but not enough to even think about it. There is a little more difference in sound with interleaved and selenoid stack wound output transformers. I've worked on a number of old Tweed Fender amps over the years and at first I was always amazed at the crappy looking iron and the way they were built when comapred to the hype and mojo!! Sometimes the whole is larger then the sum of its parts. Bruce |
