Re: Princeton Reverb
Hey Bob,

While I tend to fall more into the preservationsist camp - really like restoring "basket cases" to original condition (or close) I do appreciate your sentiments. Still, I feel I need to comment on one of your points - that the stock of Silver faces, etc., is not a limited resource, obviously it is. Just as constant media attention gives us the impression of an unsafe, crime filled, world when violent crime actually peaked in the early 1980s so does the internet give us the impression that there are unlimited stores of Silver Faces and other limited quantity items - it;s a media artifact and only that!! For example, if you go by Ampage posts you'd think that there aren't any unmodified Silver Faced Champs left :>.

It really seems to me that there are already many modified/butchered amps out there to experiment on so why modify an example of a non-renewable resource. But, then again, I live where coal strip mining has chopped up the mountains and my perspective of the loss of unique and limited resources might just be a bit shaded.

Enjoy you amps, they are yours after all (until you die).
