| Bruce | Re: Guytron amp - bias and tube pulling questions Any decent box 2x12 cab, but not the Guytron unless you want to use two Celestion V30s and hope for the best. I don't like the way the stock Guytron cabinet sounds. At first I thought it was broken or had a bad speaker in it... nope it just didn't sound good. Have someone make you a Marshall 1936 sized 2X12 cab and use your own choice of speakers. The small MESA Thiele/Small ported 1x12 w/V30 is good enough I made a clone of it and use it under my work bench at the shop to test out repairs. Two would be way cool. WeberVST C12B is a GREAT speaker with slightly better bass then a V30 but not as snappy-brite English sounding. The VST C12GB is more similar to the V30 though. I havn't heard a VST P12B with a guytron amp but my gut is telling me it would sound fab too. Bruce |
