Thank for you suggestions, Benjamin.  
Although I haven't tried biasing the heaters on this amp, I haven't had good luck with that technique in past on other amps. But I will try your suggestion. I firstly want to try to ascertain the source of the hum and if its absolutely coming from the heaters then I'll move to DC heaters.
