| Doc | Re: Vibrolux Reverb problem You can't repair your old one. The fine brass wire that holds the tiny iron armature is broken. The original tanks may have the Mfr's sticker on them. There may be a very long part number ink stamped somewhere on the can, but maybe not. Only the newer ones (now Accutronics Corp.) have the functional code number clearly visible. The fender circuit uses a 4AB2C1B or a 4AB3C1B. These are built with two pairs of springs (See the joint in the middle?). You may like the sound of a 3-spring pair tank, which will have the first digit 9 instead of 4. The fourth character deals with the decay time. I usually prefer a "2" for guitar, and a "3" for vocals, but YMMV. |
