You can use some long audio interconnect cables to jump over to another fender amp's tank for testing. If the non-invasive substitution doesn't fix the problem, you'll have to go inside the chassis. Could be a bad coupling cap, cathode bypass cap, or even the reverb drive transformer. There are only a few capacitors in the circuit. You might want to replace them all at once. It can't hurt, and doesn't cost much. Go over solder joints in general. A weak connection does funny things. Reverb transformers don't go bad often, but some failures do occur. A new one is around $20.
