Be carful you have high voltage in the amp. A safer way is to solder in a 1ohm/2 or 3 watt resisor from pin 1 and 8 to ground (do it on each tube)(disconnect the wire from pin 1 and 8 to ground). When you measure the bias you will measure over the 1 ohm resistor and measure in mV. if you read 35 mV from the DMM then it's the same as 35 mA because 35mV/1ohm=35mA (Ohms law).
