Similarity between Gibson and Chieftain tone section

Nils	Similarity between Gibson and Chieftain tone section Hi, I looked around in Pittman's book and noticed that the tone section is almost identical, just some values altered the mid is exactly the same. The treble goes back to the top of the cathode resistor instead of ground as the Matchless Can anyone elaborate, would it give me better control to go with the Gibson values, I think it was GA30-RVT. And is it possible to buy a 10M pot anywhere Nils
