M/J	is there a difference?. I have been putting the 500v@20uf sprague atoms in my amps for quite some time. I haven't done any reissues but I don't notice any extra tightness in the sound. Most often I replaced them because of a hum from the old caps which were 450v@16uf. I also didn't notice any change in the transition to distortion with the replacements. Has anyone else noticed a difference? Nic, do you happen to have a part number for those particular caps, brand, and where you bought them from? I would like to try some and see if I can A/B them. I have one DR that is "tight" and I assumed that it was the transformers as it has always been tight. I completely matched the internal components to another DR I have hoping to get the same sound for a spare amp but they sound way different. Neither sounds bad...just different. I like them both but am always game for experimentation. M/J
