Actually you wouldn't be consuming the 1400W,  
because the voltage and current would be  
nearly 90 degrees out of phase. Your electric  
meter by which they bill you for power  
responds to the actual power consumed,  
and doesn't measure this.  
 
However, the power company isn;t very happy  
about it because they still have to pay for the  
resistive losses in the wires leading up to your  
house, which will be the same regardless of the  
phase angle. As a result, if you have for example  
a factory which uses lots of inductive loads  
like big motors, they measure the phase  
angle (which gets renamed 'power factor')  
and bill you accordingly!
