Well, actually what I meant in my earlier post is that the tone stack on an AC30TB or a Matchless DC30 looks pretty simple, just treble and bass and no mids. I haven't used one and can't say if it is low loss, nor do I know how it sounds.  
 
Can anyone comment on its signal loss one compared to the standard Fender tone stack?
