| JC | Re: noise inside my amp >Sometimes it also makes loud "scratch" sounds like those produced by cold solder joins to ground, or scratchy pots... I wonder if they could be produced by the valves too, or the valve sockets. Here I am again. "That" scratchy noise appears with the B note, played on the sixth or fifth strings. It appears a while after the amp has been turned on, and playing. Let's say, about 5 to 7 minutes after. Randomly, it appears to go away if I stop playing for a few minutes, and then it comes back again a while after. It's audible even at a low volume setting (1 or 2 in the volume pot) It clearly sounds as a "scratch" noise, well defined and appart of the music itself, but going together with those bassy vibrating B notes. What can it be? It's really bugging me. jc |
