I was not able to see Bruce or nic or Doc's replies. This may be a repeat. The first thing to do is to swap the tubes in the Princeton with those in the Deluxe and see how it sounds then. "Harsh" may be too mild a word to describe a P90 bridge pickup and a Deluxe Reverb with treble on 10.
