SR Question

SR Question
Will disconnecting one speaker on a SR give a little earlier breakup? I'm sure it will decrease overall volume a bit. Will changing the speaker load from 2 to 2.6 ohms make much of a difference in tone? Anyone who has tried this or has an opinion please respond. I've got a '65 BFSR and it is one LOUD, clean amp. I'm using NOS Phillips 6L6WGB's which are supposed to be a little less wattage than bigger bottle 6L6's, but there is just too much amp here for me. I'm trying to come up with something till one day I can afford a good lower wattage amp. BTW thanks to all who put such usefull info and amp reviews, etc. on this board.
