So did the choke you mentioned have the metal covers like the ones I've seen in Fenders? So how would electronics theory explain your observation? Does the choke "smooth" out the rectified and slightly filtered voltage by radiating the garbage out into the RF environment? Just wondering... --Thanks! Steve Ahola P.S.
