RA - nice info on the patents! It is interesting to read what some of the claims are. I'm surprised old Sal Trentino was able to patent the switchable cathode/fixed bias. Seems like that is just too obvious. He made Gerrie stop selling amps with that feature because of the patent.  
Now, has Randy patented output sections using dissimilar pairs of tubes where all tubes would be permanately connected? It's clear that he has patented the notion of switch selecting the individual pairs, but what if there was no switch and both dissimilar pairs were "on" all the time?
