I remember a short discussion around the old thread about building a drum out of foam and to be run by a slowed down DC motor, thinking it could be all stuffed inside a coffee can, but thats as close as I got to building one out of scratch! The pawn shops are devoid of rotating speakers of any kind, so I may have to revisit my DIY notes. BTW theres a bunch of leslie parts on ebay, i think under the search "Leslie speaker" Theres a drum, a treble rotor brace of some kind, tube amp out of a leslie, and a few pedal switches. |
