Re: Celestion G12K85
"Whats your definition of modern/vintage ? "

Well, I have a Marshall 4x12 from 1973 with Greenbacks and, as all the 70's cabs and combos I have played, it sounds very sweet with a warm bass and delicate highs. That to me is the vintage sound.

Now, I own a new Marshall 2x12 (1936) with G12T75 and the sounds is a lot grittier with agressive highs. That's what I call modern.
A friend of mine has got the same 2x12 with Vintage 30s and the sound is completely different. Very much like my old 4x12.

All those cabs were played with the same amps/guitars.

...I need to dump those G12T75!
