I have the G12M70's in a 4x12 Laney cab. They are fairly bright sounding, and can be great or horrible, depending on what I run through them. For instance, they sound wonderful with my Carvin X60b head, but very harsh with my Marshalls (2554 Jublee and 2204 JCM800).  
 
FWIW, Celestion advertised these as being a good "country music" speaker.
