The super in question needs some browning to it's tone. It's pushing a bit ovre 500V on the plates and it had ( I dissconnected them)UL taps on the OT. I was also intrigued by a little circuit that uses a 47 ohm resistor, a 1w zener and a power transistor to 'create' a power zener. Seems like it'd be a lot cheaper than a power zener. Have you ever seen that set up used? However, the cathode baising is probably a simpler way to go to get the tone The guy is looking for. Thanks Marc
