Hi. If you can get ahold of one(beg, borrow, steal, whatever), try a "black plate" RCA 5751(or maybe a GE black plate 5751, maybe) for the first tube. I was checking out some RCAs to see if they were good, and was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded.
