Most of the mods I've seen for this involve cascading the two input channels, basically copying the classic Marshall Master volume design (it's on the schematics bit of Ampage). While this works pretty well, you do lose the original tone of the amp, and you don't get channel switching. It's worth a try, you can always put it back to how it was.
